The Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) [1] is a global, nonprofit charitable organization that develops data standards to streamline clinical research and enable connections to healthcare. It has 501(c)(3) charitable status in the USA.

Regulatory authorities such as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the USA, and the PMDA in Japan, require theur regulatory submissions to use CDISC standards.
