The STOP statement stops processing of a DATA Step and passes control to the next statement following the end of the DATA step.

Syntax

STOP ;

Usage

The STOP statement terminates the processing of a DATA step without causing an error. After the STOP statement is encountered, processing continues with the next step of the program, at the statement after the end of the current DATA step.

If an error should be generated when a DATA step stops, or if the SAS program should stop further processing, use an ABORT statement, rather than a STOP statement.
