Most SAS developers have problems trying to encrypt their scripts to prevent users from abusing them or changing the scripts. This problem is dealt with in JMP by the unique encryption process where developers can provide the password to run but not the password to edit the scripts.

This information can be found in JMP 8.0 documentation on PDF page 62 (page number 44 of the documentation).
