Data Analyst II (Fort Worth)
The Data Analyst II-Credit Review applies quantitative and analytical skills to perform independent and unbiased monitoring and assessments of the company's credit activities. This team member will use analysis, forecasting and modeling concepts to identify historical trends and create models to measure performance and identify deficiencies or fraud. This team member will also be responsible for the design, development and/or maintenance of departmental databases that include extensive VBA code.
JOB DUTIES
Interpret and convert complex data findings into quality reports, charts and graphs that assess trends and performance. Develop SAS programs to generate datasets, tables, listings, summaries and analysis utilizing multiple data sources. Design, develop and/or maintain internal MS Access utilizing VBA code. Maintain and develop various technical models and reports required to support research, data gathering, and analytic responsibilities. Verify the accuracy and completeness of work in order to deliver quality solutions that improve of operations, efficiencies, and/or internal controls.
OTHER IMPORTANT DUTIES
Development and support of models, analysis, and reporting related to the soundness of credit activities. Respond to ad hoc data requests and reports for all areas of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge
Apply knowledge, quantitative, analytical, data mining skills and appropriate judgment and logic to identify, investigate and validate credit issues. Comprehensive knowledge of business models and reports used for research, data gathering, and analysis. Knowledge of finance, statistics, accounting and/or consumer credit.
Skills
Expertise in extracting and manipulating data with SAS, SQL from different sources (Data Warehouse, SAS Datasets, MS Excel, MS Access). Inquisitive mind with ability to translate complex data into both user-friendly reports and meaningful written summaries. Strong Access/VBA development skills. Understanding of relational database design. Organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple tasks, projects and deadlines with minimal direct supervision. Proven competency using database applications such as MS Access. Proven competency using SAS software including basic data functions, macros and SQL. Ability to work discreetly with confidential information and situations.
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or equivalent. Experience in financial analysis, data mining, statistics, forecasting, loan portfolio analysis. Require minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role. Prefer experience in automobile finance industry.
