Our services are in heavy demand due to our reputation for accuracy, strong business insight, outstanding productivity, and attention to detail. We support Senior Management across Schwab, including Investor Services (focused on the retail client), Advisor Services (focused on advisors and their clients), Corporate Services (focused on plan participants and sponsors), Marketing, Sales, Platform Services (including Schwab.com), Product Services, and Finance.


Brief Description of Role:

The successful candidate will provide strategic decision support to senior business partners and support key corporate initiatives.

Define, develop and deliver business & data analysis, statistical models, and management reports.

Areas of focus include:

Manage, coach, and develop team while maintaining team effectiveness and productivity in a dynamic and matrixed business environment. Consult with senior-level business partners across Schwab to understand their objectives, and providing actionable insights based on strategic analytics to inform their decision making. Defining and/or delivering client segmentations, propensity models, client behavioral trend reports and client profiles based on the highest priority needs of our business partners. Delivering business impact analyses to help the firm determine the ROI on strategic investments Invention and refinement of communication and transparency methodologies to increase our business partners' understanding and confidence in our analytical findings and capabilities Tight and rich partnership with statisticians, market researchers, business intelligence staff, decision support managers and our business partners to align and integrate our efforts Expert-level SAS programming and analysis Applying automation techniques to reduce manual effort required and to increase accuracy and reproducibility. Working independently and with the team as a whole to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple projects within aggressive deadlines. Technical/Functional Qualifications:

Masters or doctoral degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering or related field and 10+ years experience in an analytical consulting role (consulting to external clients and/or internal business partners). Financial services experience preferred.

Strong SAS programming and data processing experience, including advanced macro programming

Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to partner closely with senior levels of management

Experience and demonstrated skills in the following areas:

Solid understanding, structuring and articulating the linkage between learning objectives, business decisions, business objectives, and analytical approaches & findings.

Solving challenging business & analytical problems in the support of critical business decisions building, validating and applying customer behavioral and attitudinal segmentation and targeting models in a B-to-B and/or B-to-C context

Applying analysis & research to understand and respond to emerging trends in client behavior, demographics, loyalty and satisfaction

Validating & ensuring input data quality as part of validating & ensuring analytical output quality

Building strong partnerships with key support teams, including data warehouse & data mart staff.
