As the first step in the decommissioning of sasCommunity.org the site has been converted to read-only mode.
Here are some tips for How to share your SAS knowledge with your professional network.
Going From Open Office Calc to SAS
SAS/ACCESS LIBNAME statements can be used to bring in *xls files from Excel 2003 into SAS, for example:
libname myxls "C:\temp\sastest.xls";
proc contents data=myxls._all_;run;quit;
But this doesn't work with files saved by Open Office Calc 2.4 in *xls format.
You can save Calc files as *.dbf or *.csv and get them into SAS that way.
However, variables from Calc *.dbfs may have different formats than variables coming from Excel *.dbfs.
