We are seeking a Statistical Research Advisor to join our collaborative team in the Business Intelligence & Customer Research Department at our head office in North Vancouver. In this challenging role, you will provide technical expertise related to both primary market research and data warehouse mining. Expertise will include statistical data collection, analysis and interpretation for department research and evaluation provided to executive clients across the Corporation. You will select and apply the most appropriate statistical analyses to resolve complex business research problems; provide trends and forecast; ensure methodological consistency; and determine statistically supported conclusions for executive clients.
Your qualifications include:
- Graduate degree in statistics plus several years’ related experience preferably in a business research environment (or an equivalent).
- Demonstrated data modelling expertise with SAS and SPSS along with theoretical knowledge of data mining and ability to provide consultation, advice and support to staff and clients.
- Specialist knowledge of SAS in a UNIX environment and SPSS statistical packages, to extract, clean, prepare and analyse data sets from the corporate data warehouse as well as primary market research suppliers.
