Statistical Analyst/Programmer
Type of Position: Full time
Starting Date: Immediately
We are seeking an organized, hard-working, detail-oriented statistical analyst with an MS or PhD in statistics and 2 to 5 years of experience working with large volume data sets, particularly in the areas of data analysis and statistical modeling. Successful candidate will be expected to work with minimum supervision to provide fast, reliable, professional support on a variety of accident and injury data analysis projects. A tremendous growth opportunity for motivated individuals with good problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical background in statistical principles and modeling is a must, as is the ability to communicate with clients having less sophisticated knowledge of statistics. Must be familiar with techniques to build logistic regression models by looking at residuals, data plots, and interaction among factors. Extensive knowledge of SAS or Stata or Minitab software is required; SAS is preferred. Experience in automotive safety research or injury epidemiology is highly desirable, but not required. Must be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Programmer
Type of Position: Full time
Starting Date: Immediately
We have an opening for a motivated person with a BS or MS in Mathematics or Computer Science or Statistics and 1 to 3 years of practical programming experience. Particularly interested in individuals with experience in large-scale databases. Must have work experience with Stata or Minitab or SAS. Must be able to work on self-directed projects as well as in a team environment. Knowledge of SAS programming highly desirable.
