DESCRIPTION:

Division of Epidemiology, Statistics & Prevention Research, Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Branch.

The Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Branch is an intramural research program within the Division of Epidemiology, Statistics & Prevention Research.

The Division’s mission is to conduct original research focusing on human reproduction and development, pregnancy, and child and adolescent health. Branch members conduct independent methodological research relevant to the design and analysis of clinical, behavioral and epidemiological studies focusing on the Division’s mission. Specific research interests of the Branch members include: ordinal and longitudinal data analysis, multiple comparisons, statistical genetics, sequential methodologies, methods for diagnostic biomarkers, survival analysis, and Bayesian methods.

Postdoctoral fellows will have the opportunity to pursue their own statistical research goals and gain experience working on the Division’s scientific studies that provide much of the motivation to branch members’ statistical research.

Candidates eligible to work in the USA and who have an earned doctoral degree in biostatistics or statistics within the past five years are invited to apply. Preference will be given to candidates
