POSITION: SAS Business Intelligence Developer

DURATION:6+ Months

LOCATION: Raleigh,NC

DESCRIPTION:Contractor will utilize the SAS product toolset to provide application development, maintenance, and support servicesto Client, including developing application design specifications, writing program code, testing applications, performing application implementation activities, developing application and end user documentation, and training clients in the use of developed applications and SAS tools. It is expected that much of the project can be accomplished using SAS tools; however, some components will require Java or other programming (i.e., AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, Adobe Flex, etc. for features that cannot be implemented through out-of-the-box SAS tools or SAS code).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Required: • SAS Enterprise Data Integration Server • SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Server • SAS Enterprise Integration and Foundation Technologies, including SAS Java API • SAS Bridge to ESRI • Business intelligence/data visualization (including OLAP storage and cube creation) • Relational databases • Java, J2EE, Ajax, JavaScript, IBM Websphere, Apache Tomcat • Sun hardware and Solaris 10 operating system

Working knowledge and experience with technology and applications including:

• Proven work experience designing, developing, and deploying applications using the SAS version 9.x Intelligent Platform technology, architecture, and resources • Proven work experience designing, developing, and deploying Java applications • Proven track record for designing and developing business intelligence applications • ETL staging environment design, tuning, and development skills • Experience implementing GIS components and data visualization in business intelligence applications • Strong facilitation, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills • Proven problem solving and decision making skills • Ability to generate detailed and comprehensive work plans and status reports • Ability to work with management at all levels in planning and implementing data warehouse applications • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline with specialized coursework or work experience pertaining to data warehousing and business intelligence • Minimum of 5 years experience developing applications using SAS and Java software technology or an equivalent combination of training and experience. • Experience in the field of work related to the positions role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis especially in application development environments.

Preferred: • Certification on the SAS 9.x software platform
