DESCRIPTION: The Social Security Administration (SSA) in Woodlawn, Maryland, is soliciting interest for a project manager position with specialized experience in SAS programming. The position would involve working with a team of programmers and statisticians to develop and manage SAS Enterprise Guide projects to produce statistical publications pertaining to SSA's Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance (OASDI), Supplemental Security Income, and other Federal programs. In addition, the candidate would also assist in the development, implementation, and management of a Business Intelligence platform for SSA's Office of Research, Evaluation, and Statistics.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGEM, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Skill using SAS on a PC in a mainframe environment. Skill using SAS Enterprise Guide and other SAS applications. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Master's or equivalent graduate degree in an IT-related field or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education in an IT-related field leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree OR 1 full year of work experience gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The starting salary range is $50,408 - $65,531. The position also offers comprehensive leave, life and health insurance benefits, participation in the Federal Employees Retirement System and Thrift Savings Plan, Flex-Time, etc.
