SAS-L BOF discussion

The annual SAS-L BOF at SAS Global Forum is scheduled for 7:00-8:00 Tuesday evening.
I assume that the "wiki" effort would be announced at the Monday evening opening session or at the "technical" opening session on Tuesday morning (?).
Typically we have a guest speaker as one of the BOF activities. Would it make sense to have this be someone associated with this effort, who could make a few remarks and then be there for some follow-up discussion? This might be similar to what we did last year, when the SAS "Community Forums" were just getting underway.
Feedback would be appreciated. This is not a decision that we need to make immediately, although we do need some lead time to line up another speaker if we don't want to go in this direction.

Mike,
Yes, the current plan is to show/announce this at the Monday night meeting. We also hope/plan to "demo" this in the EB booth in the demo room.
But if you can hold off for just a bit as Phil and I make a little more "infrastructure" progress that would be much appreciated.
Also, we would likely want to make sure that the guest speaker was an EB member as opposed to a SAS employee.

I agree with Don, must be EB not SI. Maybe a D&P?

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I don't see any reason why we couldn't deviate from our usual "SAS speaker" program item and have an "EB guest speaker" instead, if we want to go in that direction. Mid-March would probably be a good time to finalize a decision either way.
It's been interesting to see how SocialText has managed this thread. It has managed to keep it together nicely, although I guess I will have to get used to having the most recent stuff at the bottom rather than the top. And it doesn't discard any previously-posted text that is included in the reply, which is why I decided to make this a "clean" post with no quoting.
Mike
I believe this would be an great opportunity.
