The critical role that the Insurance industry plays not only in the financial sector and but also in the whole economy was brought home in the recent financial crisis. In Europe, Solvency II is underway while regulators elsewhere in the world are monitoring its progress. In this section we want hear not only how organizations have been using SAS in the ‘traditonal’ areas such as fraud detection and market segmentation, but also how organizations are using SAS to deal with new initiatives in regulation.
