Papers in Systems Architecture will cover a wide range of topics: concepts in business intelligence, metadata driven techniques, deployment considerations, traditional issues of metrics and tuning, as well as more complex matters related to client and server interaction such as cloud computing. Real-world implementations incorporating such issues as storage optimization, security, migration and administration in a modern IT environment are appropriate. Always of interest are papers about new and innovative techniques and applications using Excel as they relate to SAS applications in business. SAS?9 server architecture has expanded the traditional Systems Architecture section to bring together many nontraditional parts of the SAS community. The technology can be complex and exciting; come share with your colleagues what you have learned.

New SAS 9 features utilized in Excel Files

Would be nice to see a paper about taking advantage of SAS 9 features for creating custom and business related excel files.

How important are papers on setting up computers to effiiciently run SAS?

Just wondering how important it is from a SAS Global Forum attendees perspective to have papers given that discuss best practices in configuring computer hardware for SAS applications. If these are important, on what topics do you need help?

1) general operating system tuning guidelines 2) SAS mid-tier tuning guidelines 3) Web Applications servers tuning guidelines 4) Storage array configuration guidelines 5) other things?

Just trying to solicit meaningful papers for next years conferenc.
