Job Description The Programmer Analyst’s role within CIM is to develop software to in-take, standardize, and quality control clinical information with minimal oversight.

Primary Responsibilities • Performing initial client set-up within the CIM data processing software architecture. Interact with client representatives to define data requirements and specifications. Providing on-going support and maintenance for implemented clients. • Completing software development tasks, including: analysis, design, implementation, documentation, and validation. Participating in code reviews and adhering to release procedures. • Documenting tasks on a timely and accurate basis in the CIM Work Request On-line Tool, including delineation of tasks and estimation of effort. Provide project details and status updates to support project scheduling and workload management by the Team Leader. • Developing, documenting, and communicating concepts, utilities, and processes used within CIM, while contributing ideas for internal improvements. • Contributing to CIM projects, internal initiatives, and cross-departmental initiatives. • Collaborating with other departments: o Interact with the Client Program Management department to understand client needs as defined by project requirements. Support the Client Program Management department by attending client meetings when technical expertise is needed. o Interact with the Analytics department to define the client specific business rules, quality control the data produced by the software processing, and document any impacts to its usability in client analytics. o Interact with various departments to understand internal Health Dialog client needs as defined by project requirements. o Support Campaign Processing Management by actively participating in moving a client’s software processing to production, trouble-shooting issues with the client’s software processing, and consulting on specific questions/concerns. o Interact with Business Infrastructure to load data into and retrieve data from the Knowledge Repository. o Interact with HCAM Database Administrators to coordinate loads to HCAM and resolve load issues. o Interact with the IT department for desktop, server, and database support.

Additional Responsibilities • Timely communication and escalation of operational issues to the appropriate resource for resolution. • Collaborating with fellow team members on individual tasks. • Coaching new employees at the associate or analyst level. Providing oversight on specific tasks, while teaching concepts and skills, to associate team members.

Qualifications • 1-5 years of related experience. • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in computer science, mathematics, public health, or other related field, or equivalent experience. • Understanding of software development, especially for data warehousing: analysis, design, implementation, documentation, and validation with beginner to intermediate programming ability in SAS. Willingness to understand SQL programming and relational database concepts. • Understanding of healthcare data and key concepts used at Health Dialog and in the Managed Care and Disease Management industries. • Self-motivated individual. • Strong work execution, including: ownership of individual tasks and the ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Ability to provide input into, feedback on, and follow a project schedule. • Ability to teach technical concepts, present to small groups, and coach. • Solid verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, as well as problem-solving and critical thinking skills. • Professional maturity.

Travel Requirements • Up to 25% (inter-office regional travel between Portland, ME, Manchester, NH & Boston, MA)
