Can Blogs be private? For example - one blog could only open to local group users.

we are doing research on MediaWiki extensions which would allow controls to pages. We have not yet identified an extension which would do all that we would like.

Just out of curiosity, although I know it killed the cat. ;) Would that be research on extensions that will give administrators/moderators control of access to pages or are you looking for an extension that will also give the user some sort of control?
