sasCommunity Forum : sasCommunity - general site feedback : how do I use search?

I tried searching for "enterprise guide" (quotes included) and got a lot of bogus results (apparently the search engine does not understand quotes). The results also had these number on the side (line numbers?), but they weren't in the articles. So far, I have been less than impressed with navigation or finding pertinent results.

Is this thing indexed by Google? I know how to search with it.

OK. I found that I can search with Google

"enterprise guide" site:sascommunity.org

Maybe the search button should just build a google search.

A couple of comments.

First, we are looking into whether the replace the current search capability with Google. So thanks for your input.

Second, when I do a search on the text the very first hit is the category page Category:SAS Enterprise Guide which is what I would have suggested that you look for.

Categories should be used to tag pages. So whenever someone writes a page/article that is of interest or relevant to Enterprise Guide they should use the category tag, which would cause it to show up on the page above.

HTH,
