SAS Learning Version 9.1

sasCommunity Forum : What I would like in SAS : SAS Learning Version 9.1

I am using SAS Learning Version 9.1. In menu bar I cannot see "OLAP" option. I could guess it could be fixed after resetting SAS properly.Can somebody please give me some tips over it?

Hi,

SAS Learning Edition I think does not support the OLAP Option so no use in resetting any thing. In learning edition you are only using the front end of Enterprise Guide. For all other purposes its a "Learning Edition". Which means that some of the functionality has been disabled or does not exist when compared with a Standard SAS License.

For further information I think you should speak with your local SAS Representative office.

Don't forget, when you are using SAS Learning Edition 9.1, you do not have to use the Enterprise Guide front end to SAS. Your Learning Edition comes with a standard Enhanced Editor/SASLOG/Output type set up.

Simply look through the SAS folder on your machine and you will find sas.exe. If you fire this up, you will get the pre-Enterprise Guide interface. This still will not help with the OLAP question, but you now you have a choice of interface.
