Blogs should be listed

Currently, there is a Most Recent Blog link on the main page. I think there should be a link called 'Blogs' that lists what blogs are available. Perhaps I only want an RSS to Don's blog but not to Alan's. It would be good to know what blogs are out there and subscribe to the ones I like.

Can you identify a MOD to MediaWiki that does this or should this be implemented by people adding a link to a special listing page?
The recent blogs allow you to see the postings of the most frequent additions to anyone's blog. If you visit this daily, you will have a good idea of what blogs are active.

I did find a way to find all blogs, but it is cumbersome and it finds all blog entries. Just do a search for the text "/BlogEntry" in the User workspace. If we could find a way to fine tune this a bit we could perhaps make the Search url a link.

I think that a manually edited list of blogs would be better than an automatic one since there will probably be a number of folks who simply try out the software, but never write anything worth reading.

We now have a facility whereby users can register their blogs so they are easy to find. Check it out at http://www.sascommunity.org/wiki/Category:Bloggers_Corner (also available from 'Bloggers Corner' on the Main Menu).

Ideally one would be able to sort by various keys and attributes: name of blog, name of blog owner, date of most recent entry, total number of entries, etc.

While any text I upload will usually be written and edited off line, the format of any submissions I make is restricted to what I do on the site.
I'd prefer there to be a "sandbox" where I could post a test page and verify the layour and indexing is what I need.
Once that is done, the content could be overwritten by someone else wanting the same test.

note that while editing, there is a "show preview" which allows you to see what you are working on before saving it.
