Comparison to Wikipedia

I think the statement that:

This site is a "wiki" (just like Wikipedia) ....

on both the Getting Involved page and Welcome to sasCommunity.org page, could be misinterpreted.

The word just in the above statement conveys the meaning of exactly and emphasises the sameness or equality implied by the word like. While I understand that the comparison is meant to apply to the "wiki" technology, there is a risk that the phrase could be misunderstood, as it could be inferred that sasCommunity.org also has the same rules and policies as Wikipedia and operates under the Wikimedia umbrella - which it doesn't. The issue is further confused by a number of links to Mediawiki pages for help pages and the like.

It needs to be made clear that sasCommunity.org is not Wikipedia, even though it is much like Wikipedia. So I would replace the word just with the word much. Does anyone have a different opinion?

Because both these pages are linked directly off the Main Page, I think some discussion is needed before making a wording change. - Cameron 06:24, 18 June 2013 (EDT)

Good points. And you are correct in what the intent of using just was. I plan to make sure the rest of the Advisory Board sees your comments (and perhaps dicuss them here) so we can decide on if/where to adjust such wording to clarify the point. --Don Henderson 08:45, 18 June 2013 (EDT)
Good catch Cameron. It is always helpful to have fresh eyes look things over. I agree that it would be good to adjust the wording. --Art Carpenter 11:57, 18 June 2013 (EDT)
