Talk:Northern Virginia SAS User Group
From sasCommunity
In reviewing this page, I see that some new categories were created to represent geographical differences. Since this is exactly the reason for the proposal on intersection of categories, I wonder if it makes sense for now to separate the geography categories on the assumption that intersections will be implemented soon (but don't ask me what soon means J).
I notice that both Phil and Howard did this.
I am going to experiment some with categories for geography and then see how search can work.

A quick test showed that even without intersection of categories, a careful search will find things for you. Searching on america user groups found the Northern Virginia one because it had the text America in it due to the category definition. But the DC one was not (the category tag not added to that yet).
So I wonder if it makes sense the separate these now Since search can do part of what is needed. And once intersection of categories is available, we will have even more options.
