Talk:Presenter Biography Feature
From sasCommunity
I don't know how this might work. As a freelance consultant I am involved in all manner of projects, and when I prepare a bio for a presentation I cherry pick the bits that are relevant to what I shall discuss. The fact thta I have built systems in SCL and still develop in that area is only relevant if I am discussing an AF app with underlying SCL, or SCL ported to a data step.
It seems to me that the audience are there to hear about a particular topic, and they should be told those things in my experience that qualify me to talk on the subject, or might stimulate discussion around the subject. Anything else is at best irrelevant, and at worst self aggrandisement. --Deep cover 21:48, 4 July 2007 (EDT)
[edit] good point
I agree that very experienced presenters will do that, the idea is to simply make it easier for those who are engaging you as a speaker to have information which they could use to create publicity information or to make an introduction.
