Text Editors: necessary to run sas programs in batch mode, unless you use a SAS editor, of course ;-)
To help make a decision on which to use, see Comparison of text editors on Wikipedia.
- Crimson Editor
- vim == Cream (*unix)
- THE (The Hessling Editor)
- "THE is a powerful text editor modelled on the VM/CMS text editor XEDIT with the best features of Mansfield Software's Kedit"
- ISPF on the Mainframe, you can use SPFPC which is a PC version of this editor. Here's a link (one of many) to get it from:
- Multi-Edit Lite
- SAS System Viewer (provides a nice platform for batch work)
- Zeus IDE
