The SAS Statistical Programmer will be responsible for supporting the clinical programming, analysis, validation and reporting of the Clinical Data Management department, or specifically the Biometrics unit in a leading Medical Device company. Core Responsibilities - Assist with SAS programming, testing, analysis datasets, data extracts and reporting (tables, listings, graphs) in accordance with programming standards, validation procedures and statistical methodology. - Assist with programming database manipulations and transfers of data for internal and external clients. - Understand and comply with core operating procedures and working instructions. - Perform other duties as directed by biostatistics. - Develop and maintain good communications and working relationships with Clinical team. - Ability to work without supervision or in team setting. - Create programming specifications, lead programming activities and validation work and support clinical team Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have a degree in BioStatistics, BioSciences or Computer related field, and at least 5 years programming experience using SAS® within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry and some clinical experience. The programming experience should include use of the core SAS® products including BASE SAS and its macro facility and SAS/STAT. The candidate should have a working knowledge of computer system validation procedures and statistical methods; good communication and problem solving skills; and willing and able to work in a team setting. Solid experience with ORACLE database and SQL will be a plus.
