sasCommunity Tip of the Day

When you create a date prompt for use with a stored process, up to six macro variables are created. Two of these variables (VarName_MIN_LABEL and VarName_MAX_LABEL) indicate what the user selected.

The number of macro variables created depends on several factors, including:

  • whether it is a Date or a Date Range prompt
  • the type of date (e.g., day, week, month, quarter, year)
  • for a date range, the Range Type

You can use these macro variables in, for example, a TITLE statement to show the user what was selected. These macro variables can be used in any number of ways. See the link below for example usage.
