Tip of the Day Talk:Submitting a Tip
From sasCommunity
Centering the tip text is really not ideal when you want to present (SAS) code. Could you address this in your instructions? --Jmbodart 04:24, 19 November 2008 (EST)
Thanks for your interest/comments. This is addressed in bullet points 4 and 5 of the article. Given that we plan to have these appear on the Main Page, they need to be short and so we thought that code should be put on other pages that are accessible using the read more link created by the {{WikiReadMore}} template in the instructions. Of course, we want other input and if showing code is desired, we can look into how to do that. --Tip Editor 07:43, 19 November 2008 (EST)
I thought that many tips would likely contain a small piece of code, and that people would like to see it directly without opening a link to another page. It would probably not make much sense to create a new page for just a small piece of code. --Jmbodart 04:18, 20 November 2008 (EST)
If it is truly short, take a look at Tips:Read Files From Web Sites Into Your SAS Program. Would welcome your input on how to update the instructions on Tip of the Day:Submitting a Tip (or a link to a more detailed Help page perhaps) for this. --Donh 11:34, 20 November 2008 (EST)
