Tips:Editor Abbreviations in SAS Enterprise Guide

Art Carpenter submitted a useful tip (Editor Abbreviations) describing how you can create an abbreviation for the SAS enhanced editor that will "auto-complete" a block of code for you. The instructions cover what to do in SAS display manager on Windows, but did you know that you can do the same thing in SAS Enterprise Guide?

With a program/code window open (to enable these menu items):

• In SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1, go to Code->Add Abbreviations.
• In SAS Enterprise Guide 4.2, go to Program->Add Abbreviations.

Want to delete an abbreviation? Go to Program->Editor Macros->Macros to manage the list of abbreviations and other editor macros that you've defined.
