Tips:Turning AMO on and off

If you have the Add-in for Microsoft Office installed and connected to your Office products, any time you open a Word document or Excel file AMO will load. This slows things down. If you don't like that, and just want to do some simple work with Word or Excel quickly, there's an easy way to manage when AMO will be activated.

  1. Locate a file called 'SwitcherUtility.exe' in the SAS AMO folder. You may need to do a search for it.
  2. Click on it and wait for a short time. When it runs you can manage which Office products will load AMO when you open them. You can choose individual products, all of them, or none of them.
