As the first step in the decommissioning of sasCommunity.org the site has been converted to read-only mode.
Here are some tips for How to share your SAS knowledge with your professional network.

The Playpen might better be lodged in a subpage, leaving this talk page for talk. - Howles
Good suggestion. I have done that. So anyone who comes to this page expecting to find one of the examples in my playpen needs to go to User:Donh/Playpen for the examples. --Don Henderson 01:20, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
Thanks. I will try to submit more tips. Hopefully they will be useful. - Murphy Choy
Hi, i'm new here, but have been wikipediaing for a while. anyway, i noticed that you're part of the category fixing project and thought i'd pass this on to you to pass on to the rest.... when you redirect a category to another category, like [[Category:TRANSPOSE ]] to #redirect [[Category:TRANSPOSE procedure]], it generates a circular subcategory, where [[TRANSPOSE]] becomes an empty subcategory of [[Category:TRANSPOSE procedure]]. so, the fix is to put an additional colon between the [[ and "Category" in the redirect, as in #redirect [[:Category:TRANSPOSE procedure]]. you can see what I did http://www.sascommunity.org/mwiki/index.php?title=Category:TRANSPOSE&action=edit. anyway, if you could pass the word on. and thanks for volunteering to fix the categories, btw. hope to see you around here in the future. Comments on Tips that I have submitted to the Tip of the Day Project
Don-- It is a minor point but ERROR messages are shown at the end of the log for the data step in Windows and not the end of the log of submitted statements. I miss haveing notice of them at the end of the job as on the mainframe. Nat
I wonder which tip Nat is discussing--Howles 18:26, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
The one from July 8 ;-). I assume you knew this and the intent was to point out the issue. And, I agree Howard, we need to address this issue of posting to talk pages about Tips. --Don Henderson 12:48, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
Actually, I didn't know. I usually have a browser tab open to sasCommunity, often displaying the recent changes page, sometimes others, seldom if ever the main page. I can go days or weeks without seeing the main page.--Howles 14:43, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
Don, Keep up the good work. Charlie Shipp 10:52, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
