The Executive Board of SAS Global Users Group is pleased to be able to offer this new presence on the web to all users of SAS software. This site is based on MediaWiki software. As such, it may be a new paradigm for many users who are accustomed to websites as places to simply come and read information, i.e. to use it simply as a digital newspaper.

sasCommunity.org is different!

Its content is based on the premise that you, the user will contribute the content. The new Web (also known as Web 2.0) can be thought of as a shared canvas where every splash of paint contributed by one user provides a richer tapestry for the next user to modify or build on. Whether people are creating, sharing or socializing, the new Web is principally about participating rather than about passively receiving information.

We invite you to add technical articles to the SASopedia to share your knowledge that would be useful to other users of SAS software. Fill out information in the Users Group section about groups you are affiliated with. Add Events that you think might be of interest to other users. Write a book review about relevant books. Be creative – start things that we have not thought about. Write a blog about your SAS adventures. See if you can improve on what others have already written.

The success of sasCommunity.org rests on YOU. Participate and tell others to join you as we all strive to accomplish more using SAS software.
