Bots or Bot users have special user rights that cater for automated processes that are often known as robots. On some wiki, bots are used to detect and correct common user mistakes that can be routinely corrected, such as poor spelling, unsigned comments, formatting issues, reverting vandalism, etc. Because bots often make lots of minor but predictable and well documented edits to a wiki, having a separate account for each known (and trusted) bot allows those edits to be accepted when patrolling wiki edits for bad spelling, grammar, vandalism and suchlike.

The sasCommunity terms of use currently does not provide for Bots running under a separate user account to that of an individual member who is responsible for operating or handling the Bot. Consequently no user accounts have been designated as bots.
